Our Love Story
Dara, a director at a marketing agency and Liz , owner of a fabrication company had teams that had been in touch for years. A huge project (for Netflix) surfaced when Liz & Dara had to finally work together to make the magic happen at a Con. With so much in common, kids similar ages and their love for luxury items, this professional powerhouse duo turned into really amazing friends. What was next for them… Playhaus Designs of course!
Not your Average Moms
Dara first stepped on the scene as a graduate from Parsons School of Design and later went on to run a division of Baby Phat by Kimora Lee Simmons. She has worked with some of the fashion greats and traveled the world several times over. What came next? Crushing the marketing world! Fast forward several years later she has been building insane experiential activations and marketing campaigns for brands such as Netflix and Barbie as well as slaying Comic-Con and music festivals with her brand engagement pop-ups! With a designer's eye and impeccable taste, she’s now a mom and seeing everything through the lens of her mini me!
Liz graduated college with a degree in Psychology and morphed into an interior designer master. Her keen eye for detail along with an edgy approach and larger than life vision had corporate brands flocking to her studio to create some of the biggest consumer facing experiences the media has seen. She was able to step into the mind of the consumer to bring their vision to life with an intense creative twist. Liz owning her own design studio has worked with heavy hitter brands such as Target, Netflix, Disney, Homegoods and many more. Now her kids are our most meticulous clients’ putting each Playhaus product to the test before it hits the market!
